Marilynn Harse

Harse-It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marilynn “Squirt” Harse, age 84 years formerly of Corunna. She passed away suddenly on June 2, 2026 at Bluewater Health with her beloved husband and children by her side. Marilynn is survived by; Albert Harse, her loving husband of 67 years; her children, Leeanne (Doug) Smith, Terri (Jim) Hall, Louis (Jaime) Harse; her daughter-in-law, Carol Harse: her sister, Gail Bell and sister-in-law, Lynette Stewart. Loved grandmother to Shawn (Alix) Smith, Clint (Meghan) Smith, Ethan (Brittany) Harse, Emily Harse, Caleb (Stacy) Harse, Louise (Reyd) Hall, James Hall, Gracie (Tyler) Harse, Noah (Hailey) Harse, Kelly (Chris) Batson, Rebecca (Andrew) Barnes and Jason (Sherrie) Batson. Cherished great-grandmother of Orrin, Piper, Aubrey, Lochlin, Thatcher, Isla, Axel, Quinn, Sloane, Ezra and 2 more little ones on their way. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Marilynn was predeceased by; her oldest son, Alan Harse; her parents, Louis and Laura Stewart; her in-laws, William and Leola Harse; her brothers, Dave and Doug Stewart; her brother-in-law Keith Bell and many other in–laws in the Harse family. Many residents of Corunna will remember Marilynn from her years at Foodland where she always greeted everyone with her infectious big smile. Marilynn was a strong woman holding down the house while Albert was driving truck. When she retired she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and visiting her family in Stratford. You would always find her watching her grandchildren while they were playing sports as she loved watching them all. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her kindness, infectious smile, warm heart, laughs and her friendly wave. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank all the Nurses, PSW’s and staff on Oak Court at North Lambton Lodge in Forest for the care and compassion shown to Marilynn during her time spent there. She was well respected there as seen in the notification to staff that “Our Little Squirt Marilynn Harse has passed away suddenly”. She will be missed greatly on Oak, missed for her big smile, her dramatic ways and always putting Albert in his place. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grand baby. She really adored Albert too, even if we heard her yelling at him in the halls. It was usually because he was giving her a hard time on purpose. He would always chuckle when she got mad. They were genuinely adorable together. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Salvation Army or to North Lambton Lodge Auxiliary. Arrangements entrusted to Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna. Messages and condolences may be left on line at www.knightfuneralhome.ca Knight 519-862-2845
Her Light Lives On
Though her hands now rest,
Their warmth still lingers in our days,
Though her voice is silent,
It’s kindness echoes in our hearts,
Love such as hers
Is not bound by time-
It booms in every life she touched
And will guide us always

“LOVE YOU BIG

Marilynn always had a genuine warm smile to share when seeing me at the grocery store or the arena. She was always so cheerful and interested in the kids! A great fan at the Mooretown arena, watching hockey games and cheering! May she now be reunited with her son Al, where they together, can watch from the heavens above.❤️❤️

  14. Such a sweetheart. We’d always chat when we were out walking the dogs. Then later when her & Al’s dog had passed. I hooked them up with their little poodle when I worked at Corunna Vet. Knew she was going to a wonderful family. Rest easy now Marilyn. You are missed in the neighborhood.
