Thanks Chris for your kind words. I think you girls at KFC gave her the nickname Rosie. I always thought it fun that you called her Rosie. She was a very strong woman and a good role model. She will be missed for sure!

  2. We are saddened to hear of Rose Marie’s passing. My family has gotten to know her at Albany Retirement Village. Norm and Mary King live down the hall from Rose Marie’s room and they shared the same dining room. Rose Marie was best known for her kind, generous spirit. My first meeting with her was when she came outside with watermelon to give us, including my daughter and young grandson. She had the biggest heart for sharing ice cream and all sorts of treats with her dining mates. Rose Marie tried to warmly welcome new residents and help them orient themselves to Albany. She loved to celebrate special occasions and we now celebrate her amazing life!

  11. I was actually thinking of Rosemary about a month ago, wondering if she was still with us. I’m not sure why she popped into my head but I went as far as looking online to various funeral homes in the area (Knight’s being my first) wondering if I’d see her name.
Her youngest daughter, Nancy and I were best friends from Kindergarten through to about Grade 2 (after which I had moved). She was the sweetest and kindest neighbourhood mom you could ever meet. I have fond memories of hanging out at the Field’s house and they had the coolest little playhouse in their basement.
Heaven truly gained a beautiful angel (although she gained her wings many years ago for her selflessness and kindness to others).
My sincere condolences to her family and friends. She will be missed by many.
RIP Rosemary…thanks for the memories 🩷
