Howes- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Bluewater Health-Palliative Care Unit in Sarnia, on Tuesday September 22, 2026. Larry Wayne Howes, age 81 years of Sarnia and formerly of Corunna. Beloved husband and best friend of 61 years to Milly. Much loved father of Brad Howes and his wife Cathy of Sarnia. Treasured grandfather of Jarek Howes of Sarnia, Ashley Allen (Kenney) of Hensall and Maddissen Howes of Sarnia. Cherished great-grandfather of Brooks and Parker Gratton and Jackson Allen. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law, Marian Daniels and her husband George of Sarnia. He was predeceased by; his son, Jeff (2012); his brother, Mervin Howes (2016) and by his parents Victor and Carmen Howes. Larry was a loving and caring family man who enjoyed family get togethers and to tell many stories from his past. He retired from Polysar after 30 years of service and bought a truck and embarked on a further 15 year career as a long haul trucker. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the Bluewater Health Third Floor and Palliative Care Units for the care and compassion shown to Larry and his family during his time spent in hospital. In keeping with Larry’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Sombra at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
