Poole- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Bluewater Health-Palliative Care Unit, Sarnia, on Thursday November 1, 2012. Alan “Al” Poole, age 50 years of Corunna. Loving son of Grenville and Jean Poole of Corunna. Dear brother of Gina Robertson of Sarnia. Al will be fondly remembered as “My Pal Uncle Al” by his niece Kailey Mae Robertson and by his nephew Ethan Robertson. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and will be missed by many close friends. Al was a 25 year employee of Shell, he was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed his time playing in his band-The Band of Misfits. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Sunday November 4, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 3:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Corunna on Monday November 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow.     I just recently learned of Alan’s passing and wished I’d had the opportunity to attend the funeral service.
    Al always had a kind greeting, whenever we met, and it’s sad to think I won’t have the opportunity to return his gesture again.
