Darlene Cooper

Cooper- Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Marshall Gowland Manor in Sarnia on Saturday March 1, 2025. Darlene Rachel May Cooper, age 79 years. Loving wife of 58 years to Gary Cooper. Much loved mother of Ivan Cooper and his wife Dianne and Steven Cooper and his wife Tanya, all of Sarnia. Treasured grandmother of Justine, Kaleb, Kiana, Elijah, Preston, Marlena and Hendrix. Darlene is also survived by; her brother, Charles “Bud” Labrasceur and his wife Joan of Petrolia and by her sister-in-law, Sue Lebrasceur of Sarnia. Darlene will be fondly remembered by her friends, Lana Lind and Lori Hardy as well as many Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by; her sister, Yvonne Lavergne and by her brother, Gary Lebrasceur. Many will remember her love of dancing and for being an amazing cook while others will fondly recall her as being a second mother to many. A Special Thank You to the amazing staff at Marshall Gowland Manor (Poppy Unit) for the wonderful care they had provided to Darlene in her final years. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday March 5, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Deacon Chuck Stevens officiating. Cremation will follow and her cremains will be laid to rest in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Alzheimer Society or to the charity of one’s choice. Gary(coop)and Darlene(mouse)were like my second mom and dad, as a young boy I lived with them and they taught me so many good things and that made me become a better person
