Deborah Sherman

Sherman, Deborah Susan (nee Duguid) age 63 of Corunna passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on Monday August 4, 2014 after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Adored wife of 33 years to Tom. Cherished Mom and best friend to Kate (Wes) of Point Edward. Loving daughter of Vi and the late Stan Duguid of Windsor. Deb will be missed by her sisters, Wendy (late Kenny) and Jamie (Rick) of Windsor. Pre-deceased by her brothers, David and Danny and brother-in-law, Bill. Treasured sister-in-law to Jack and Marianna of Corunna, Dan and Cathy of Waterloo, and Maria of Sardinia, Italy. Admired by many nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and close friends. Deb loved the simple pleasures in life: feeding and watching the birds, being with her family at the cottage, walking on the beach skipping stones, a good card game and a cold beer. She also had a special place in her heart for all animals. Deb’s final wishes were made possible by the incredible care and compassion provided by Ann Wallace and Kristen Friesen of VON under the kind-hearted guidance of Dr. Monique Dostaler. Our deepest sympathy to Tom, Kate and all Deb’s loved ones. We were away last week and learned the sad news upon our return, sorry we couldn’t attend in person. Two of our sons Derek and Dave worked with Deb a number of years ago and they always spoke highly of her dedication and her friendly personality. You will be missed Deborah, and may God bless all your wonderful family. Rest in Peace.
