Carswell- Peacefully at Bluewater Health-Palliatve Care Unit, Sarnia on Tuesday July 22, 2014. Floyd Patrick Carswell age 81 years of Corunna. Beloved husband of the late Jean Carswell (2002). Loving father of Patrica Carswell-Alexander of Brigden. Much loved grandfather of Ben Alexander (Amanda Stones) and Christyann Alexander and great-grandfather of Keegan Alexander. Floyd is also survived by; his sisters, Maisie Bellinger of Brockville and Marie Gaudett (Joe) of North Augusta; his brother, Glen Carswell (Joy) of Gananoque and his sister-in-law, Marie Carswell of Brockville. He was predeceased by; his brother, Cliff Carswell and his brother-in-laws, Jack Carey and Jim Carey. Floyd was born and raised in the small farming community of Jellyby just outside of Brockville. He was the proud owner/ operator of Floyd Carswell Electric, was a proud member of the Antique Car Club and was an avid wood worker who was famous for building 1 off pieces of furniture and clocks. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday July 25, 2014 from 6:30-9 p.m. and on Saturday July 26th from 10-11 a.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with Barry White officiating. Interment will follow in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to the Sarnia and District Humane Society.
