Kevin Nichols

Nichols- It is with a deep sense of loss and a profound sense of sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Kevin Lee Nichols, age 52 yrs. of Corunna at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Sunday August 10, 2014. Much loved husband and best friend of 27 years to Sheila (nee Russell). Dear father of Sarah (Justin) and Craig (Jess) all of Corunna. Loving and proud grandpa of Harper. Kevin is also survived by; his father, Roy Nichols, his brother, Brian Nichols (Sandy); his sister-in-law, Jamie; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gavin and Janette Russell; brother-in-law, Neil Russell (Kelly) and by numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends. He was predeceased by his mother Joan (2009) and by his brother Wayne (1997). Kevin was a great man who truly loved his family and friends and he will be fondly remembered as a dedicated employee and mentor to many. He thoroughly enjoyed his many vacations and fishing expeditions and always loved fixing “toys” and racing with his children at the Grand Bend Motorplex. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday August 13, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday August 14, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where a celebration of his life will be held on Friday August 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Allan McKeown officiating. Cremation has already taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or to Pathways Health Centre for Children, Sarnia.     We are so very sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Kevin. It was always a pleasure to see him so involved with kids, cars and friends at Grand Bend. He will be missed by many.
