Oliveira- Peacefully at her residence on Monday October 28, 2019 following several years of declining health. Ligia Silva Oliveira age 73 years Sarnia. Loving mother of Walter Oliveira and his wife Marie of Mooretown, Valdemar Oliveira and his wife Karen of Woodbridge and Nancy Lang and her husband Philip of Petrolia. Treasured grandmother of Dylan, Devon, Courtney, Anthony, Adriana, Philip, Pierce and Ariana. Ligia was the loving sister of Eduardo Silva (Fatima), ZeAlberto Silva (Isabel) and Isabel Oliveira all of Portugal. She was predeceased by her parents Horacio and Lourdes Silva. Ligia was a devout grandmother and a faithful catholic who was passionate about her portuguese heritage. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Thursday October 31, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 390 Christina St. North, Sarnia on Friday November 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Brian Jane celebrating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Sarnia. As expressions of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Breast Cancer Society, Canadian Liver Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.
