Paul “Soup” Campbell

Campbell- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit in Sarnia on Thursday May 1, 2025. Paul “Soup” Gordon Campbell of Corunna passed away at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of 44 years to Debbie. Paul was deeply proud of his; children, Amber Passingham (Jameson) and Casey Campbell (Nicole); his cherished grandchildren, Daphne and Bauer Passingham and Sadie, Emmett and Finnegan Campbell to whom he was always supportive. Paul was a loving brother to Louise Davidson (Bill 2022), Linda Willock (Blake) and Holly Restorick (Ken). In his lifetime he was an avid hunter, fisherman, boater, golfer and car enthusiast who loved to take his El Camino to car shows. He found peace in the great outdoors. He was a master handyman ready to lend a hand to those in need. He was a Hoisting Engineer and Millwright and retired from Dow Chemical. While we mourn the loss of Paul, we find solace in the memories he leaves behind. His kindness, love and unwavering dedication to his family will forever be remembered. Special thanks is extended to Dr. Laba and the radiation team at L.H.S.C., Dr Tong and the Oncology Department at Bluewater Health, Dr. MacSweeney and Bayshore Home Health (Erica). In keeping with Paul’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Bluewater Health-Oncology Department or to the charity of one’s choice.     Paul and your family were a big part of our summer boating adventures as part of the “Gang of Five”. I cherish the memories from that time and the friendship we had with Paul. His quick humour and infectious laugh made our gatherings special. Although his passing saddens us, we feel privileged to call him our dear friend. Please take care of yourselves.

    He was my Point Edward cousin who never looked any older through his 76 years.

  12. My condolences to the family. Some of my early memories of Paul was him riding around Pt. Edward on his Honda C50 scooter and meeting down at Riverside Pizzeria.
