Cook– Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the C.K.H.A.-Sydenham Campus, Wallaceburg, on Tuesday October 20, 2026. Eleanor “Ellen” Cook age 93 years formerly of Oshawa. Beloved wife of the late John Douglas Cook (2022). Much loved mother of Steven Cook (Sharon) of Oshawa and Lesley Riddell (Bryan) of Corunna. Treasured grandmother of Sarah (Shaun), David (Christina), Katie (Jon), Shawn, Brad (Elisha), Jamie (Stacey) and Melanie (Jerry) and great-grandmother of Hayden, Harper, April, Jack, Brynn, Kaylee and Connor. Eleanor is also survived by her sister, Eileen Rutter and her husband Trevor of England. She was predeceased by her brother, Jim Crackett and her sister-in-law, Myra. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and her family will remember her privately with a graveside service in Oshawa at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or to the Alzheimer Society.
