Jeannotte-After a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, Leona Cecile Jeannotte (Nee Lamarche) passed away peacefully at the age of 77, surrounded by the love of her family. A women of deep love, strength, and faith, Leona devoted her life to the people she cherished. Her kindness, wisdom, and spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasure forever. She will be lovingly remembered by; her husband, Guy; her children, Ray (Amy) and Roger (Amelia); her grandchildren, Devin (Sarah), Alysa (Josh) and Ethan ; her great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Myles; her brother, Ron (Diane) Lamarche, and by many extended family members and dear friends. She is now reunited in Heaven with those who went before her, including her mother, Cecile (2016) and her father, Leo (1994), and we find comfort knowing that she is at peace and once again surrounded by those she loved. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Crozier, Dr. Kim, the Bayshore nurses, especially Shawnee Hillier, and CarePartners, especially Victoria and Ally, for the compassion, care, and support they provided to Leona and her family. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at the Corunna Legion, 350 Albert St. Corunna on Saturday September 19, 2026 from 1- 4 p.m. Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we are grateful for the lifetime of memories, laughter, lessons, and love she gave us. Her presence will remain in our hearts and in the lives of all those she touched. In lieu of flowers those who wish to express sympathy in memory of Leona are asked to consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
