Komar- Promoted to heaven surrounded by her family at the Bluewater Health- Norman St. Site, Sarnia on Tuesday January 27, 2009. Elizabeth May Komar, age 76 years of Corunna. Dear mother of Pam Spicer-Wright and her husband Andy of Corunna and Steve Spicer and his wife Susan of Winnipeg. Much loved grandmother of Ashley and Kaytlyn. Also left to mourn her passing is her best friend and grand dog, Brett. Also survived by her brothers and sisters; Jamie, Robert, Lillian, Norah and Ralph and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband John Komar (1997) and by her sisters, Gladys and Jane Ann. Lizz was well known throughout the communities where she lived and visited for her award winning butter tarts and fudge and she enjoyed her thirty plus years being affectionately known as the Avon Lady. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Sarnia Humane Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
