Shanks- Unexpectedly at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Monday September 26, 2022. Robert “Bob” Edgar Shanks, age 80 years of Froomefield. Loving husband of the late Bonnie (nee Fleckie) (2009). Father of Tim Shanks, Jim Shanks (Penny) and Lori Shanks-Beveridge (Mike) all of Sarnia. Grandfather of Brayden and Cody Beveridge and Tyler Toulouse. Bob is also survived by his sister, Susie of Saskatchewan and his brother Peter of Australia. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Saturday October 1, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Stewart Chute officiating. Interment will follow in Moore-Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or to the charity of one’s choice. Our greatest sympathies poor out to Uncle Bob’s family and friends. He had a big heart and was always making others smile. He loved to hang out at my dads man cave. Thats where me and my sisters saw him the most when we came down for visits. He was always keeping busy and helping others out. He will be missed by all he knew, but welcomed at the purling gates. May we remember his joy and laughter on October 1st as he takes his next step.
