‘Larry’ Herbert Lawrence Walker, was born on March 2, 1932 in Chester, England, and passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on February 21, 2026, at the age of 93. Larry emigrated to Canada from England in 1957 with his wife Kathy. In 1971, they eventually settled and became longtime residents of Corunna where they were blessed to work, raise their family, and retire. Larry was predeceased by his loving wife, Kathy (2001), with whom he shared almost 50 years of marriage. He is survived by his children, Michael Walker and his wife Jane of London, Colin Walker and his wife Susan of Bright’s Grove, and Gillian Roefs and her husband Henry of Ingersoll. Grandad to 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. When Larry wasn’t working as a self-employed Electrical Design Draftsman, he enjoyed being a member of The Bluewater Model Engineering Club, The Polysar Glee Club, and the Sarnia Ballroom Dancing Club. He enjoyed building model ships, wood-working, playing the organ, listening to music, and travelling the world.The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Corunna Foodland who delivered his groceries weekly so that he could remain living at home independently, his neighbours Pat, Beth, and Nathan, the personal support workers and nurses from Bayshore Healthcare, CarePartners, and the compassionate staff at Bluewater Health for their exceptional care and kindness. Cremation has taken place. KNIGHT FUNERAL HOME in Corunna entrusted with arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at a later date once a memorial brick has been made for our parents and laid at the Sarnia-Bluewaterland Rotary Club Flag Plaza under the Bluewater Bridge.

I often had the pleasure of ringing through and packing Mr. Walker’s groceries at No Frills. I enjoyed our conversations, he was such a lovely man. I hadn’t seen him in awhile, I’m sure due to his health but I often thought about him. My condolences to his family.
