Scott- Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit in Sarnia on Thursday February 19, 2026. Carol Ann Scott, age 81 years of Courtright. Much loved wife of Jim Waybrant for 42 years. Loving mother of Leslie Daborn and her husband Art of Sarnia, Leah Praill of Wallaceburg and Danielle Waybrant of Corunna. Adored grandmother of Jessica, Kim, Emma and Connor. Carol was the loving sister of Bryan Pettman and his wife Nancy of London and dearest aunt of Amanda and Tyler. Loving gram to furbabies Coco and Vinny. She was predeceased by her parents Harvey (2005) and Myrle (2017) Pettman. Carol and Jim loved to travel and especially enjoyed many years wintering in Florida. They always looked forward to hosting the annual corn roast at their home for over 30 years. Carol and Jim enjoyed time with family and friends at the Courtright Restaurant and Saturday night pizza at Firenzies. The family would like to extend special thanks to the paramedics and staff at BWH for their care and support during Carol’s illness. In keeping with Carol’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at the Corunna Legion on Sunday March 22, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit.   2. I got to Know Carol 46 years ago, when I’m was 9 years old & jumped around in the house & broke her horse figurine, she was so mad & I was so afraid I’d never be allowed back. But she forgave me & we had a lot of memories after that. RIP sweet lady & deep condolences to Leslie, Art, Kim, Jessica & the rest of the family xoxo
