Doris “Doe” Maidman

MAIDMAN, Doris – Doris passed away at Vision Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at the age of 94. She joins her beloved husband Frederick, parents Hugh and Helen Cole, siblings Thelma, Donald, Arnold and Joyce. Survived by daughter Lorraine (Rick), grandchildren Dawn Heather (Brian) and Keith (Heather), great-grandchildren Alissa, Kyle, Lily, Aimee, Cecily and Ruby. Doris will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Doris spent many years sharing her love of music by teaching piano and organ to children. Those who knew her will remember her for her love of reading, singing, baking and Walkers shortbread cookies. Doris loved animals – especially her much loved poodles Gognac and Bridget. Doris lived by the water and would often be seen sitting by the window reading. She enjoyed being on the move – attending church, going for walks, and going for car rides with her daughter Lorraine. Her family was her pride and joy.Special thanks to the staff at Vision Nursing and Rest Home. A private family graveside service will be held at Sutherland Cemetery, Courtright. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.Arrangements entrusted to the Knight Funeral Home, Corunna, 519-862-2845.     I always enjoyed chatting with your Mom !
    I saw her at Vision when I brought our doodle in to visit a cousin and she asked me to bring our dog over to her too! We will always remember her big smile
