Jayne Miles

Miles-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jayne E. Miles (Withers), age 79 years of Corunna, announces her peaceful passing on Sunday December 28, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Hospice. Mom was born August 5, 1946 in Sarnia, Ontario and was predeceased by her parents, Keith and Catherine Withers. Mom is now reunited with her beloved Husband, Wayne Miles (2018) after more than 50 years together. She missed him terribly, and we find comfort imagining them dancing together once again. She will live forever in the hearts of her Children Catherine & Mike Williams, Margaret & Dave Toms, Stephanie & Phil Regnier and Doug Miles & Kim Kremer. Loving & Proud Grandma to Taryn & Sam Simmons, Nathan Toms, Erica & Andrew Borody, Emily Williams & Matthew Wyrzykowski, Brittany & Nic Giorgini, Mia Miles & Tom VonDungern, Tessa Mathers & Jason Stockhausher, Hannah Miles & Cooper Buckle, Matthew Regnier & Julia Joyce, Jason Gruben & Echo Bellmore, Ryan Gruben & Ally Tayler. Proud Great Granny to Benjamin, Reese, Jack, Lucy, Jansen, Kane, Remi and Baby Buckle coming in July 2026. Mom cherished her time with her Grandkids and was their biggest fan, always supporting them in all of their activities and bragging about their accomplishments. Mom will be remembered by her lifelong friend, Peg Cormier (John) and her Children Patrice, Jeremy & Amy, and her oldest friend, Patty Dyke.
Survived by her brother-in-Law, Gary Stewart, special niece, Terri Stewart-Neely and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom always treated our friends like family. She had an amazing ability to make everyone feel like they belonged. She loved owls, and they will forever be a reminder of her presence. She took comfort in the St. Clair River, the grace of soaring eagles and the calm beauty of sunsets. Special thanks to the PSW’s and Nurse Mary for allowing Mom to stay in her home as long as possible. Thank you to Dr. Kim, Dr. Lily and the amazing staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for the exceptional care and thank you to Deanna Gibson for your kind words and prayers for Mom. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday January 2, 2026 from 4-6 p.m. where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with Rev Deanna Gibson officiating. Cremation will follow and Jayne’s remains will be laid to rest in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia at a later date.
