Mills- Peacefully surrounded by her family at the Bluewater Health-Palliative Care Unit, Sarnia, on Friday September 11, 2009. Ailleen Mills aged 70 years of Corunna. Beloved wife of Paul Mills. Much loved mother of Cindy Seward and her husband Pat of Courtright and Kim Pawley and her husband Charlie of Corunna. Loving grandmother of Chris, Laura and Jamie Seward and Jacob and Lucas Pawley. Dear sister of Captain Bruce Shepperd of Meaford , Helen Sills of Waterloo, Frank Shepperd and his wife Marie of Meaford, Jean Prouse and her husband Ken of Mooretown and Donald Shepperd and his wife Winara of Collingwood. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Margaret and Patricia Shepperd and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Violet Shepperd; her brothers, James and Ronald Shepperd; sisters-in-law, Margaret, Patricia and Lucille Shepperd and by brother-in-law, Art Sills. Ailleen was a member of the Moore Optimist Club and had served as its’ treasurer in the past. She had previously worked at Royal Trust and the Sentry Department Store. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Sunday September 13, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 110:00 a.m. with Rev. Janet Uren officiating. Interment will follow in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown. As expressions of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Corunna United Church.     Dear Paul & family,
    I was shocked to hear of Ailleen’s passing.I found out on the afternoon of the day of the funeral.Please know that I would have been there to pay my respects to a truly wonderful woman and co-worker who’s friendship began in 1975 with the Royal Trust.
    Paul,Cindy,Kim and families…you are in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

  3. My condolences to the family of Ailleen Mills. Sorry to hear about the passing of your mother Cindy and Kim, and your wife Paul. Whenever I think of Mrs. Mills I always have a smile on my face. My memories of her are of her fun yet caring personality. I will always remember the support she gave each of us as we were growing up. Peace, prayer, and blessings to each of you. May your memories of her give you strength.
