Albert “Al” Harse

Harse- It is with profound sadness that the family of Albert “Al” Harse annouce his sudden passing on Tuesday February 1, 2011 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Al was born March 3, 1961 in Kitchener to Albert and Marilynn Harse. He is survived by his wife Carol Harse and children; Ethan, Emily, Caleb, Kelly (Chris), Rebecca (Darren) and Jason (Shannon). Papa was adored by his grandchildren; Nathan, Margaret, Hannah, Courtney, Tyler, Jacob and Aidan. He was a “Big Bro” to his sisters, Leeanne (Doug) Smith and Terri (Jim) Hall and to his brother “Mini Me” Lou (Jaime) Harse. He was a special uncle to Clint and Shawna Smith, Louise and James Hall and Noah and Gracie Harse. Al was an avid flyer with the Bluewater RC Flyers and enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing with family and friends at the Imperial City Hunt Camp. He was employed at Lafarge Canada Inc. where he was a heavy equipment operator. He was also a long haul truck driver for many years. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday February 4, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with Rev. George Bell officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
