Alice Hawke

Hawke- Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, on Thursday October 31, 2024. Alice Marie Hawke, age 75 years of Petrolia. Loving and caring mother of Jeff Hawke and his wife Carol of Winnipeg, Tracy Mallinson of Sarnia and Tammy Dewhirst and her husband Steve of Petrolia. Cherished grandmother of Erin Marsden, Jeffery Hawke, Brett Dewhirst and Ryan Dewhirst and treasured great-grandmother of Myla Marsden, Anthony Hawke, Lucy Lamirande and Journey Hawke. Alice was predeceased by; her son-in-law, Paul Mallinson (2022); her brother, Earl McLellan (1971) and by her parents, George and Lillian McLellan. Alice was an RPN at Trillium Villa Nursing Home for over 35 years. She enjoyed day tripping with her friends and could often be found playing Bingo at her favourite Bingo Hall. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at the Wyoming Legion, 493 Erie St., Wyoming on Saturday November 9, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A private family interment will take place in Hillsboro Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia (www.stjosephshospice.ca).     As cousins we spent summers together as children. And reconnected a few years ago at a family reunion.

    So very sorry to hear of Alice’s passing. I have very fond memories of Alice from the family times spent at Aunt Lillian and Uncle Georges home as a young girl . Years later I reconnected with Alice at what was then Best view Health Care Centre while I was working there . She always had the most beautiful smile and i know she will be missed.
