Brown-Peacefully at Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia on Thursday May 30, 2013. Alton Lorne Brown, age 90 years of Corunna and formerly of Courtright and Sombra. Beloved husband of 64 years to Clara. Dear father of Douglas Brown and his wife Mag of Port Perry and Patricia Hagan and her husband Pat of Corunna. Loving grandfather of Erin, Jessica and Dan Brown and Justin, Jody and Jeremy Hagan and great-grandfather of Carter, Lauren and Nash and Ewan, Maisey and Oscar. Alton was predeceased by; his parents, Herbert and Maude Brown; his brothers, Delmar Brown and Kenneth Brown and by his sisters, Florence Shinn and Edith Brown. Alton was born in Courtright and farmed his entire life in Moore Township. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday May31, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Corunna on Saturday June 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Jan Pochwala celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the St.-Vincent De Paul Food Bank or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.     Dear Clara and family .. I was saddwnwd with the news of Alton passing away. I know that the last few years have been hard for both Alton and yourselves. While we will miss him dearly, we will rest in our faith that Alton is even now with his Father in Heaven. clara …you are in my prayers.
