Amy Murray

Murray– It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Amy Murray. She went home to be with Jesus in her 99th year on Sunday May 21, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil (1999). She was the loving mother of four children, Rhoda (Jim) Belfield, Cheryl Marshall, Peter Murray and Ruth Murray, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Amy is survived by her sister, Frances MacLean of Moncton, NB and by her sister-in-law, Ann Crawford of Cambridge. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and all those that knew her. She was predeceased by; her brothers, Mel Crawford and Ken Crawford and by her sisters, Tresia Thomas and Hilda Whittall. The family would like to thank those that visited, called to talk, sent many letters, thoughts and prayers over the many years when mom lived in her own home and her most recent home-Watford Quality Care. Thank you to the staff of Watford Quality Care Home for all the care, understanding and compassion shown to mom over the years. In keeping with Amy’s wishes a private family graveside service will be held in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown where she will be laid to rest next to Cecil. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.     Thinking of each of you as Aunt Amy takes her ultimate journey. I fondly remember our last visit with her when Mom and I went up to Aunt Olga’s birthday party.
