Higgins- Peacefully at Bluewater Health-Mitton St. Site, Sarnia on Saturday February 28, 2009. Ann Higgins, age 89 yrs. of Corunna. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Higgins (1981). Loving mother of Ann Markin and her husband Boris of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta and Jerry Higgins of Corunna. Dear grandmother of Michelle (Todd), Christine, Greg (Katherine) and Heather (Mike). Also survived by her brother Jerome Keough of Nova Scotia. Ann was born in Nova Scotia and moved to Corunna in 1957. She was a Veteran of WW II and was a past member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 447-Corunna. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday March 4th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Corunna at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with Fr. Jan Pochwala celebrating. Interment will follow in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown.
