Hill-Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit, Sarnia on Sunday September 15, 2013. Arlene Joan Hill, aged 78 years of Courtright. Beloved wife of 60 years to Ron Hill. Loving mother of Ruth Ann Aberhart (Bruce) of Sarnia, Randy Hilll (Helen) of Sarnia, Julie Gibson (Bruce) of Mooretown, Becky Bellavance (Richard) of Camlachie and Jennifer Steeves (Brent) of Corunna. Much loved grandmother of Sarah (Sean), Laura (Ryan), Michael, Ashley, Kelsey, Asia, Mark (Kelly), Jason, Kyle, Meaghan, Emily, Curtis, Courtney, Ryan, Danielle, Colin and Lee and great-grandmother of Owen, Maddison and Payton. Arlene is also survived by; her brothers, Mickey Finn of Wisconsin and Dann Finn (Roxanne) of Beaverton; her sister, Sally Thompson of Sarnia and by 2 nieces, a nephew and many special friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Marion Finn. Arlene will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, wonderful grandmother and great friend. She will also be remembered for her 38 years spent as an active volunteer with the Mooretown International Juvenile Silver Stick committee. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday September 18, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Margaret Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Bluewater Health- Palliative Care Unit or to the Mooretown International Juvenile Silver Stick.   1. To all the Hill Family I was so sorry to hear this news. I had a nice long talk with Arlene at my Mom’s 80th birthday party last year. She was a proud mom and grandma and filled me in on all of you.
    Ron I know she was your best friend and my heart breaks for you. Julie and Ruthann I would have been there, but was in BC on business. If virtual hugs can be felt, know I was sending them to all of you.
    Cherish your memories of Arlene, she will be missed.
