Bishop- Unexpectedly on Saturday April 4, 2009. Basil Bishop, age 70 years of Sarnia. Beloved husband of 44 years to Ann. Dear father of Mark Bishop and Sian Grennan of Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Gillian and Madison Bishop and Amanda and Sarah Grennan. Also survived by; his brothers, Bryan, Malcolm and Melvyn and by his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Llewellyn. Predeceased by his parents Glyn and Catherine Bishop. Basil immigrated to Canada with Ann in 1976 and worked at Nova-Corunna until his retirement in 1998. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday April 10th from 7- 9 p.m. where the funeral service be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Major Rick Pollard officiating. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Parkinson Society of Canada or to the charity of one’s choice. I am the mother of Cody Sullivan, friend to Basil`s grand-daughter, Amanda Grennan. Although I did not know Basil, my thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of sorrow.
