Byron “Barney” Newby

Newby- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Sarnia on Friday April 20, 2018. Byron “Barney” Albert Newby, age 53 years formerly of Corunna. Loving son of Byron Newby and his wife Marlene of Corunna. Much loved brother of Jim Russell (Christine) of Vancouver, Selena Fraser (Mark), Brad Newby and Maxine Dabanovich (Don) all of Corunna. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. Barney was predeceased by his mother Marjorie. He was a past member of the Corunna Volunteer Fire Department. He was a well respected and loved resident of Trillium Villa Nursing Home for many years and the family is grateful for the compassion and care shown to him by their entire staff. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Monday April 23, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Blair Corcoran officiating. Interment will follow in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown. As expressions of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or to the Charity of One’s Choice.
