Maidment- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Tuesday May 17, 2016. Dan Maidment, age 63 yrs. of Corunna. Beloved husband of 40 years to Tania (Fairbairn). Loving father of Lori McKinlay and her husband Derek of Corunna and Craig Maidment and his wife Katie of Windsor. Special gampa of Brayden, Nolan and Hunter McKinlay and Grayson and Nash Maidment. Much loved son of Betty and the late Charles Maidment. Dan is also survived by; his sister, Lynne (Doug) Thorson; his brother, Chuck (Marilyn) Maidment; his mother-in-law, Delia Fairbairn; his brothers-in-law, Doug (Delores) Fairbairn and Colin (Maria) Fairbairn and by his sister-in-law Jan (Ken) Burr. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Norm Fairbairn and mother-in-law, Jeannette Fairbairn. Dan had a passion for sports having played or coached golf, hockey and baseball at various times. He was retired from Nova after 26 years of service and had most recently been working at LamSar. Friends will be received at Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Thursday May 19, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where a celebration of life will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jill Rogers officiating. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or to the charity of one’s choice.
