Annette- Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit-Sarnia, on Saturday November 16, 2013. Doreen Margaret Annette, age 79 years of Courtright. Beloved wife of the late Joe (2002). Loving mother of Debbie Bryson (Jack Vanderaa) of Sarnia. Dear grandmother of Darrin (Camelita) of Corunna, Neil (Julie) of Sarnia, Miranda (John) of Courtright and great-grandmother of Joey, Cassie, Mikayla and Lucas. Doreen is also survived by; her brothers, Roy Tizzard (Eleanor) of Beamsville, Jack Tizzard (Dawn) of Kingsville; her sister, Marlene Harley (Terry) of Sauble Beach and by brothers-in-law, Al Truchan and Gary Sherriffs. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Doreen was predeceased by her sisters, Thelma Sherriffs and Joan Truchan. Doreen will be well remembered for her endless devotion to St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Courtright, for her dedication and commitment to the Moore Optimist Club and for the countless hours she spent volunteering for many charities. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Tuesday November 19, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. with the Moore Optimist Club conducting a walk through at 7:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Paul Woolley officiating. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may express sympathy through a memorial donation to Operation Christmas Tree or to the charity of one’s choice.
