Daye–Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Saturday September 10, 2016. Douglas “Cobra” Daye, age 64 yrs of Corunna. Loving husband of Faith Park. Dear father of Angela Dumont (Paul) of Sarnia, Jennifer Scott (Jeff) of Plympton-Wyoming, Kyle Daye (Melissa) of Courtright, Jeffery Daye (Jordan) of Sarnia and Cheyna Daye of Corunna. Treasured grandfather of Destiny, Nolan, Ashley, Rachel, Natalie, Ryleigh, Ryder, Jason, Kaiden and soon to be- Jaelynn. Much loved brother of Russell Daye (Julie), Kevin Daye (Dianne) all of Sarnia, Donald Daye (Kim), Ronald Daye (Wendy) and Deb Ferguson (Jim) all of Corunna. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Doug and Marjorie Daye. He was a longtime employee of Sarnia Piping Specialties (SPS) and was an avid sportsman having coached or played in various sports throughout the years. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Tuesday September 13, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where a celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. In keeping with Doug’s wishes cremation has already taken. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donation to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, Canadian Cancer Society or to Wawanosh Enterprises.   2. My sympathy to Doug’s family–
    I got to know Doug a bit during recent months and was charmed by his brave and “chipper” manner.
    I discovered that he was a neighbour of ours on Cameron Street.
    I have good memories of the Daye kids at Mooretown School-Kyle, Angela,Jennifer.
    I know you and Chance will miss him so much. RIP Mr. Daye

  3. hello to the daye clan, so sorry to hear about doug. i havent seen him in a long long time but i do remember some epic parties at his place in courtright!im sure he’ll be greatly missed.my condolences to you all.
