Smuland– It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Dwight Gordon Smuland, age 77 years of Corunna. He passed away on Monday September 19, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia. The broken hearts he leaves behind belong to his loving wife of 58 years, Judy; his children and their spouses, Connie Dawe (Tom Ward) of London, Pattie Smuland of Sarnia and Greg Smuland (Tina) of Sudbury; his treasured grandchildren, Mackenzie, Spencer (Abbey), Curtis (Shannon), Nicole, Julia (Matt), Matthew (Danielle), Kyle, Rachel, Alex (Adam) and Stephanie (Max) and great-grandson, Miles. Dwight was the loving brother of Marlene (Dave) Scott, Karen Bosch, Ray (Barb) Smuland, Nadine (Arnie) Siep and brother-in-law of Barbara Smuland, Cindy (Ron) Nelson, Debbie (Jim) McClymont, Eleanor Gillis, Sandra Mitchell and Cathy (Jake) Grant. Dwight will be deeply missed by numerous nieces and nephews. He will be reunited with his parents, Benjamin and Glenna Smuland and by his brother, Cal Smuland. He will be missed by many wonderful special friends. Dwight was an incredible man with a big heart. He had patience like no other and exhibited his love for others and thoughtfulness in everything he did. He had a tremendous impact on lives of many. Heart felt gratitude to those healthcare professionals who cared for him. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Saturday September 24, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. Cremation has already taken place and a private family graveside service will be held in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. Messages and condolences may be left online @ www.knightfuneralhome.ca   Knight 519-862-2845.
