Knight– Unexpectedly but peacefully surrounded by the love of her life, George and her “poopkas”, Susan, Melissa, Mckenna, Hunter, Abigail and Grace as they sang you are my sunshine. Elaine Mary Knight, aged 72 years of Corunna passed away on Tuesday June 13, 2023 in the ICU at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Best friend and partner for 35 years to George Armstrong. Much loved mother of Susan Knight (Gerry Nead) of Port Lambton and Melissa Ginn (Brad) of Wyoming and stepmother of Max Armstrong of Sombra and Patrick Armstrong (Laura) of Bayfield. Treasured grandmother of Mckenna, Hunter, Zach, Abigail, Grace and Vera. Elaine was the loving sister of Margaret Tyll (Ron) of Ubly, Mary Anne Prill (Maynard) of Detroit and David Micklash of Ubly. She will be sorely missed by her dogs, Sammy and Piper. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Stella Micklash and by her sister, Bea Baranski. A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at Antonio’s Sports Bar, 443 Lyndoch St. Corunna on Saturday June 24, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. with words of remembrance being offered at 2:30 p.m. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Sarnia and District Humane Society or the charity of one’s choice.
