Oliver– Peacefully with her family by her side at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Sunday June 12, 2022. Elaine Marie Oliver age 56 years of Corunna. Loving wife and best friend of Dave Ramsay. Cherished mother Nic Oliver (Brittany) of Petrolia and the late Chris Oliver (2014). Treasured grandmother of Casey and Kolton. Much loved sister of Janice Taylor of Tecumseh, Bob (Regina) Taylor and David Taylor all of Inwood. Elaine was a beloved sister-in-law to Karen Ramsay of Sarnia, Sandra (Dave) Hillier of Sarnia, Mike (Vicky) Ramsay of London, Howie (Gayle) Ramsay of Strathroy and Tracey (Ed) VanKerkoerle of Forest. Already missing her are her 4 legged friends, Bo, Kirby and Steve. She was predeceased by; her parents, Billl Taylor (1993) and Barbara Taylor (2016); her mother-in-law, Freda Ramsay and brother-in-law, Ron Ramsay. Elaine was a dedicated employee of OPG having worked in Courtright, Thunder Bay and Kincardine. A special thanks is extended to Dr. Yoshida and the staff at the Bluewater Health Oncology Department and to Dr. Glen Maddison and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia for the care given to Elaine during her illness. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday June 17, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. Cremation has already taken place and no formal funeral service is planned at this time. Elaine was a gentle soul who loved deeply and absolutely adored her family. With a smile that would light up the room, Elaine was a cheerful, hard-working peer and friend at OPG Western. My heart goes out to Dave, Nick & Brittany, Casey, Kolton and her fur babies. Heaven gained an Angel in sweet Elaine.

Janice, Dave, Nick and family. I was so sad to read of Elaine’s passing. I was always happy to run into Elaine at the rink during summer hockey or the grocery store. She always had a smile and her face and was one of the most gracious, dignified and kind. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Elaine’s kindness will be her legacy.
This news is heartbreaking, through all of the ups and downs, Elaine maintained a kind spirit and genuine caring heart. I worked with Elaine for several years at Lambton, just can’t imagine the pain her loved ones are experiencing. RIP Sweet Elaine, give those that have gone before you the biggest smile and hug.
