Pidgeon- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a courageous and determined battle with cancer at the Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit-Sarnia, on Sunday October 25, 2015. Gary Douglas Pidgeon, age 62 yrs of Corunna. Loving and devoted husband of Laurie (Rivard). Dear son of Edith Pidgeon of Wingham. Much loved brother of Les Pidgeon and his wife Barb of Yale, B.C., Barb Fell and her husband Bill of Petrolia, Gail Stapleton and her husband Stan of Wingham and Doug Pidgeon of Walkerton. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his father, Bill in 1983. Gary retired from O.P.G. in 2010 after 34 years of service and was a lifelong car enthusiast who enjoyed tinkering with and racing his many cars over the years. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Tuesday October 27, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. and on Wednesday October 28, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. where a celebration of his life will follow at 11:00a.m. with Deanna Gibson officiating. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, London Regional Cancer Clinic or to the charity of one’s choice.
