Gary and I go back age 15 and went to high school together. I learned a lot about farming from him. Shirley and I got to help in that massive garden of his and Dianne. Many great memories over the years about a kind, easy going friend. Rest in peace dear friend.

  10. Diane,
I haven’t known Gary or yourself for that many years but considered you and Gary as part of my “chosen family.” We spent such a nice work Christmas party around the bonfire Gary being Gary just last December. I will very much miss his visits, his infectious laugh, the truck and his “now listen here.”

  11. Dianne, such a shock hearing about Gary. Gary such a good neighbour, always willing to help out, loved to putter in garden, so generous in giving all of us produce from your garden. He was out in your yard and garden daily. My grand kids loved going over, see machinery Gary had, sit on tractor, get their pumpkins when grown in garden. Whatever we might need, Gary had it. Gary loved to chat. Neighbourhood is here for you Dianne. We all help each other out.

  14. Heartfelt condolences to Gary’s family. I have fond, fun memories of Gary too numerous to count from childhood days growing up beside his family on the 12th line. He was very protective of my sister and I, and that same “big brother “ feeling continued into our adulthood. A very special kindhearted man for sure, who will be missed by all who knew him.
