Russell- Peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday January 10, 2012. Gene Russell, age 68 years of Sarnia. Loving father of Jim Russell and his wife Christine of Vancouver, Selena Fraser and her husband Mark of Corunna and Maxine Dabanovich and her husband Don of Corunna. Treasured grandfather of Dwayne, Ian (Michelle), Lauren, Caulin, Justin, Susan, Michael and Heather. Dear brother of Steve Russell, Winifred Gilbert, Herb Russell, Dorothy Williams and Charlie Russell. He was predeceased by; his sister, Marjorie Newby and by his parents, Jim and Mabel Russell. Gene was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his years working at Tubetech and in his later years working at Hiawatha Slots. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home 588 St. Clair Parkway Corunna on Thursday January 12, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday with Rev. George Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown.
