Harold Taker

Taker- Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Friday May 12, 2023. Harold Lorne Taker, age 86 years of Corunna. Loving husband of the late Cynthia Taker (2017).  Much loved father of Colynda Taker and Sonya Taker both of Sarnia and Nicholas Taker of Edmonton. Cherished grandfather of Brayden Taker and great-grandfather of Scarlette Taker. Harold was the loving brother of Hazel Taker and Clara “Sis” Taker both of Alberta, Phyllis Smith of P.E.I., Florence Taker of Newfoundland and Joan McQueen of Ontario. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by; his parents, Norman and Evelyn Taker and by his brother, Gerald Taker. Harold lived in Corunna for nearly 55 years and will be remembered as a perpetual tinkerer and an avid hunter. He retired from Tricil/Safety Clean as a heavy duty mechanic after many years of service and will be fondly remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and superman. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday May 24, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. Cremation has already taken place and a private family interment service will be held in Moore-Union Cemetery at a later date.
