Barnes-Peacefully surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, on Saturday October 23, 2010. Helene Barnes, aged 85 years of Courtright. Beloved wife of 64 years to Don. Loving mother of Bob Barnes and his wife Maureen and Diane Barnes all of Courtright. Devoted grandmother of Tracy Williams and her husband Jason, Ryan Barnes and his wife Kelly and special grandmother to John and Laura Hill. Helene is also survived by; great-grandchildren, Megan, Alyson, Blake and Kaci; her brothers, Melvin Hiller, Lawrence Hiller, Arnold Hiller and Bud Ward; her sisters, Irene Telfer, Loraine Shaw, Miza Taylor, Vivian Cooper, Evelyn Newstead, Veda Swanton and Shirley Wamboldt. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her sisters Sadie Ashburn and Linda Boyle. Helene was an avid Mooretown Flags and Courtright Cardinals fan. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday October 27, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Allan McKeown officiating. Interment will follow in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown.
