  3. Sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Horace.
I am the daughter of Vic and Helen Schmidt.
I recall A few occasions when we were all visiting but with the distance of the provinces it didn’t happen too often.
Even so, I recall both Aunt Louise and Uncle Horace to be wonderful and caring people.

    Hi Karen & Ron
Thinking of you & your family as you celebrate your dad’s life. Aleta let us know of Uncle Horace’s passing on Monday.
I remember fondly the trips your mom & dad made out to SK to visit Grandma Schmidt. Mom, Dad, Dennis & I had many smiles & laughs with your mom & dad!! Your dad’s Schmidt history book holds a treasured spot on our bookshelf. I remember mom ( Kay) was so happy your dad helped gather information together when the Canadian government named northern lakes in honour of the soldiers who lost their lives in war- Uncle Johnny being one.
Your dad will be missed. He was a such an interesting person to visit with.
