Weir- Suddenly at Marshall Gowland Manor, Sarnia on Friday June 24, 2016. James Alexander Weir, age 80 years formerly of Corunna. Much loved father of Gillian Gleason of London and Fiona Weir of Brantford. Stepfather of Tim Hicks (Deb) and Kim Adams of Corunna. Loving grandfather of Nicole, Ryan, Jacob, Daniel, Ethan, Keria, Thomas and Leah. Also survived by; his brother Walter (Lynn); his sister, Margaret Rodger (Drew) and sister-in-law Virginia. He was predeceased by his brother John. Jim was a retired Chemical Engineer from Imperial Oil. Cremation has already taken place. A gathering will be held at Antonio’s Restaurant in Corunna on Thursday June 30th from 1-3pm to share memories of Jim. The family would like to extend their unending gratitude to the staff at Marshall Gowland Manor Ivy unit for the constant care, kindness and thoughtfulness displayed while Jim Weir resided there.
