Kewell- Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Friday January 4, 2013. Jessie Violet Kewell, age 90 years of Corunna. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Maxwell Kewell (2008). Loving mother of the late Brenda (Doug) MacCheyne, Gaye (Mel) Mellema and Bonnie Ann (David) Atterbury all of Sarnia. Dear grandmother of Richard MacCheyne, Cheryl Ann Wijdeven, Heather Freemantle, Robert MacCheyne, James Douglas Cooper, Gregory Cooper, Janice Atterbury, Jillian Gagliardi and Marc Atterbury. Treasured great-grandmother of Sarah Cooper, Jessica Wheelock and Jade Wheelock, Brianna MacCheyne, Rylan MacCheyne, Lily Atterbury and James McIlwaine, Emma Gagliardi, Claire Atterbury and Xavier Freemantle. Jessie is also survived by; her sister, Isabella Emerson of Parry Sound and brother, Russell Hayes of Toronto and special sisters, Bonnie Lackey, Roberta Sterling and Wanda Lashbrook. She was predeceased by her parents James and Lily Hayes and by her brothers Thomas and Gilbert Hayes. Jessie was a long time member of Christ Anglican (All Saints) Church, Corunna and a member of Mayflower Rebekah Lodge #234-Mooretown. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Monday January 7, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mayflower Rebekah Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 3:45 p.m. Monday. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday from All Saints Parish in Corunna with Rev. Canon Nick Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Sutherland Cemetery, Courtright.
