Jim Maitland

Maitland- Unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday December 11, 2010. James “Jim” Maitland, aged 72 years of Corunna. Beloved husband of Penny. Loving father of Kim Knight and her husband Don of Sarnia and Barry Maitland and his wife Ann of Corunna. Dear grandfather of Keegan Maitland. Also survived by his brothers Thomas and Joe in Scotland. Jim was a retired member of the Boilermakers Union Local # 128- Sarnia. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna. Messages and condolences may be left online @ www.knightfuneralhome.ca Knight 519-862-2845.

  3. Hello there Penny its Cathy (from Watson Timbrmart),I just heard today and I just wanted you to know that I have been thinking about you today and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I have to say you both were a joy to wait on at the lumber yard, we had our fun times and fun moments (when you and Jim would disagree on things that you thought you needed but he didn’t think you did !!). Those moments will always stay with me you both are great people, and even your doggy! So Penny he will be truly be missed in my eyes.

Take care of your mom, as I know you always do, just like 2 years aga when we had the Korean Girls, I was told you’s looked after Jim and Penny so well.

    I was so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I will miss his opinion on books and authors greatly. Jim was always my go-to guy on what was well written and what wasn’t. My sympathies to your family.
