Mitchell– Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit, Sarnia on Tuesday February 21, 2023. James “Jim” Jeffery Mitchell, age 72 years of Corunna. Loving and devoted husband of Edna. Much loved father of Mike White (Amy) and Brian White all of Sarnia. Loving poppa of Nina-Nicole and Mikey. Dear brother of Suzanne Yates (John) of Sarnia and Brian Mitchell (Suzanne) of Spruce Grove, Alberta. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Glen and Helen Mitchell. He was a long time active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 447-Coruuna where he was a Past Vice-President. He will be fondly remembered as a super handyman who could fix anything. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at the Corunna Legion, 350 Albert St. Corunna on Sunday February 26, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Corunna Legion Poppy Fund. So sorry to hear this sad news. Mitch was a great friend, always greeted me with a smile and joke about my ‘scooter’. He was always willing to go the extra mile to help out. Condolences to Edna and family, he will be missed. 💐
So very sorry to hear that this wonderful man has passed. His smile and quiet manner, yet ready laugh, will be remembered, especially the years we golfed together on those road trips to Clair. Our heartfelt condolences to Edna and all the family. We will be out of country for the memorial but will have a toast in Mitch’s honour.

Edna and family, we are so sad to hear of Jim’s passing. Life seems to be much to short, but you two certainly created many memories as you travelled miles in your motor home. Sorry we aren’t home to give you a hug, but we will be thinking about you. May he rest in peace.
