Jim Shanks

Shanks- On Wednesday March 29, 2023. James “Shanksy” William Shanks, age 58 years of Froomefield passed away suddenly at home. He was the loving son of the late Bonnie (nee Fleckie) (2009) and Robert “Bob” Shanks (2022). He was also predeceased by his cherished Shih Tzu’s, Cassie and Charlie. Jim is survived by; his wife, Penny Shanks; his daughter, Natasha Adams; his granddaughters, Alyce Adams-Phoenix, Grace and Taisa Sanders; his brother, Tim Shanks; his sister, Lori Shanks-Beveridge; his father-in-law, Ken Lucas (the late Brenda) (2020); brother-in-law, Jim (Woo) Lucas and nephew, James Lucas. He will be missed by; his special cousin, Susie; his dear friend, Heather Prudom (Pete Cote) and his extended family and many friends. Jim was a long haul truck driver for many years and was a member of the Teamsters Local #230. He will be fondly remembered as a dedicated Toronto Maple Leafs Fan and a lover of music. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Tuesday April 4, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. Cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or to the Inn of the good Shepherd.     I just heard about Jim passing I work with Jim at lower motagami project in kapuskasing he was my Stewart. He was good man spent alote time with him he work in the moose cree first nation territory he.ll be miss .he loved working .gonna miss him .R.I.p buddy fly high
