Shirley and family: so sorry for your loss. Jeff and I send our condolences.
Our condolences for your loved one’s passing. May his memory bring you comfort. Jim and I became friends later in life, working together out west and at our Tim’s coffee get-together. He was a great storyteller, and he could always make me laugh. What I enjoyed most about our talk was that Jim “got it.” It was the love he had for his family that mattered most. When he talked about Bonnie, you could feel the love he had for her, even if you were laughing about her being a Canadian or Oirlers fan. He was so proud of his children and loved to talk about them, as well as his love for his grandchildren. That love for his family will continue to live.
Sorry for your loss . Chipman family

Dear Bonnie and family,
I had the pleasure of working with Jim over the years. Jim was a respectful, skillful Journeyman within the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators in Local 95, Canada, and the USA. His expertise and dedication were evident; he was a role model for many of us. At every job site where I worked with Jim, he had stories of the past, all of which were a pleasure to listen to. They also attracted everyone’s attention in the lunch trailers. One of the most memorable moments with Sally (Jim) was going to work in the US, in Joliet, Illinois, Local 17, and this would be my first time outside of Ontario and on a travel card, wet backing. Sally had a lot of pointers and suggestions for me.
Jim’s influence extended far beyond our local. Insulators across North America respected his professionalism and dedication. I’m sure there are countless stories about Jim’s impact, and each one underscores his value to our trade.
Our collective hearts are with you during this time of sorrow. Please accept our deepest sympathies.
John Swart, Business Agent,
Heat and Frost Insulators, Local 95

I remember Jim as a wonderful husband and friendly with his kind way of speaking and smiling to all those he came across. He cared so much for his wife Bonnie whom I had worked with. I also remember the fun times bowling. He will be missed. Thinking of you Bonnie and your family.
