Joan Knowles

Knowles- Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Friday January 21, 2022.  Joan Knowles, age 89 years of Corunna. Beloved wife of the late James Knowles (1996). Much loved mother of Jim Knowles (Denise) of Bluepoint, Robert Knowles of Horwich, England, Stephen Knowles (Helen) of Sarnia and Sharon Knowles (Josh Thomas) of Corunna. Cherished grandmother of Carol, James, Kelly, Melanie, Sarah, Stephanie, Amanda, Emma and Daniel and great-grandmother of Ben, Evan, Lily, Evie, Daisy and Noah. Joan is also survived by; her sisters, Val and Barbara and by her brother, Eric. She was predeceased by; her sister, Maureen and by her brother, Ken. Joan thoroughly enjoyed the 13 years she spent living at Thompson Gardens in Corunna and she will be missed. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or to the Sarnia and District Humane Society.   3. Dear Family. Joanie was one of the most delightful persons. She was an inspiration and found joy in all things. She enjoyed live to the fullest and I have very fond memories of her. She will be missed. My sympathies to you on her passing. Take care.
