McLellan- Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Monday, September 10, 2018, John “Jack” Robert Allan McLellan, age 85 years of Sarnia, formerly of Frog Point. Beloved husband of 59 years to Jacqueline “Jackie” McLellan. Loving father of Dara Sinclair and her husband Neil of Sarnia, father-in-law of Cheryl McLellan (New Brunswick). Treasured grandfather of Kalyn (Jonathan), Texas, Seana (Jason), Brampton, Nathan, Makyle, Drae, (New Brunswick), Drew (Jacci), Horseshoe Valley, Krista (Thomas) Port Huron and great-grandfather of his precious mirror image – Fraya. Jack was a loving uncle to many generations of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Allan (2002); his brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Monica; his sister and brother-in-law, Marianne and Percy Traynor; his brother-in-law, Ray Perkins and by his parents Harold and Florence (Clark) McLellan. Jack was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a proud 65 year member of Electrical Local #530 having been the first apprentice, a past president and a founding member of the Retirees Club. After retiring in 1996, he became an avid golfer and bowler. He was a founding member of the Saints and Sinners Golf Group and was a passionate organizer/instigator of many rousing get-togethers with his buddies. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. where Prayers will be offered at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Corunna on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dan Vere celebrating. Cremation will follow with a private family graveside service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Corunna at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Church RMR Fund or to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia.
