Mills- John Albert Mills of Courtright passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in his 81st year. John “Jack” will be forever kept in the heart of his beloved wife Viola whom he was married to for 53 years. He was a devoted father to Andrea and her husband Mark Hoba. John was loved and will be sorely missed by his granddaughter Christine. John is survived by his brothers Vidal (Sharon), Charles (Irene) and sister in law Kay Brayford (Leo).  Our family takes great comfort in the many wonderful memories we have made with Jack. John had a quieter personality and was a farmer at heart.  He retired from Terra with over 30 years of service.  John was a long time member of Moore Optimist and Corunna United Church. Sincere gratitude is extended to our neighbours, relatives and friends for the support we received over the last 2 years. Special thanks from the family for the loving care John received at Meadowview Villa in Petrolia. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday August 27, 2021 from 1- 2p.m. where a funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Blair Corcoran officiating. Cremation has already taken place and the interment of cremated remains will be held after the service. Due to COVID protocols all in attendance must wear a mask/face covering and observe social distancing guidelines. The maximum number of attendees at one time will be monitored. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Corunna United Church Memorial Fund or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
