John “Jack” Piggott

Piggott– Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia on Monday, December 20, 2021.  John “Jack” Junior Piggott, age 92 years formerly of Corunna. Loving husband of 43 years to Ruth Ann. Dear father of Kathy Hennick (Karl) of Wyoming, Debbie Field (John) of Courtright, Peggy Scott (Gary) of Courtright and Don Piggott (Carol) of Sombra. Cherished grandfather of Adam (Victoria), Matt (Laura), Ammie (Dave), Kristie (Joe), Tracie (Derrick), Tyler (Kelsey), Mark (Christine), Laura (Mike), Kyle, Kristopher (Miranda) and Karson (Jaqee).  Treasured great-grandfather of 23. Step-father of Jim Moran (Jacqie), Dave Moran (Jan), Mike Moran (Sheri) and Rick Moran (Denise) and step-grandfather of Eric (Katrina), Matt, Brooke and Brad. Jack is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Edith Stokes, Muriel Blake and Rosey Tulloch. He was predeceased by; his brothers, Delbert and George Piggott; his sisters, Edith Holliday, Pearl Craig, Jean Lovegrove, Annie Hall, Wilma Stevens and Mary Kelly and by his brother-in-law, Bob Tulloch. Jack was born in Oil Springs where he farmed for many years. He had a competitive side to him where he enjoyed golf, curling and playing cards. He was a past president of the Brigden Fair, was a lifelong carpenter and a member of the Shrine Club. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Lambton Meadowview Villa for the compassionate care given to Jack during his stay there. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment at a later date. As expressions of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Courtright Friendship Club or to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Corunna Food Bank.
