Robertson- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends at the Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit, Sarnia on Thursday September 1st, 2016. John Noel Robertson, age 74 yrs of Corunna and formerly of Sarnia. Beloved spouse of Sharon Boylan. Loving father of Wendy Ward (Wayne), Courtney Robertson, Katie Witmer (Mike) and stepfather to Kate McCrindle (Ted), Brenda Hoffman, Jennifer Cox (Greg), and Angela Boylan. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Andrew, Michael, Sean, Jasmine, Stella, Justine, Joe, Zane, Nola, Harli, Hope and Ryan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and lovingly missed by the Maude Family of Guelph. Dear brother of Marilyn Marley (Arthur), Theresa Parkes (Harvey), Fran Gross (John), Lynda Harvey and Scott Robertson (Sue). He was predeceased by; his parents, John and Jessie Robertson; his daughter, Megan Robertson and by his dear brother-in-law, Norman Harvey. John was a resident of Corunna for the past 7 years and previously a resident of Sarnia for over 30 years. He worked for Tricil and CN Rail for 33 years and drove school bus before retiring. In the last few years he spent lots of time with his comrades down at the New Beginnings for Stroke and Brain Injury Clinic. In keeping with John’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of life open house at John and Sharon’s home (email krobertson89@gmail.com for directions) in Corunna on Sunday September 4th commencing at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Heart and stroke Foundation or to the charity of one’s choice.
